Lijjat Cumin Papad 200g
Description
A very popular, spicy variety of papadums. Made with urad dal flour, asafoetida, pepper, lemon powder and other spices. They are rolled paper-thin, and dried out in the sun. Papads are served as an appetizer with coriander chutney, or served as an accompaniment to biryanis, pulaos and curries. A staple in every indians home.
Ingredient: Urid Flour, Jeera (Cumin), Asafoetida, Salt, Raising Agent: sodium Bicarbonate, Edible Vegetable Oil, other Spices.
Cooking Instructions: Deep Fry: Heat oil in a large deep pan or work (200c). To test oil, drop a piece of papadum in to the oil. If it starts to expand and bubble, the oil is hot enough. Gently drop the papadums one at a time, holding under the oil with tongs. Take out the papadums with in 3-4 seconds. Place papadum upright and drain excess oil. Then serve.
Grill/BBQ: Place papadum under hot grill. Cook until papadum turns golden colour.
Microwave: Lightly brush one side of a papadum with low fat oil. Place one papadum on a paper towel, then microwave for approximately 60-90 seconds.
